Shrub Willow (Salix spp.)

Growing Conditions: Moist soils. Adaptable to a wide range of soil and climatic conditions, but prefer wet feet. Usually found in wetland or riparian habitats.

Ecological Benefits: All aspects, fruit, and stem are important food for wildlife. It is host for numerous pollinators and a larval host. Important conservation tree for riparian areas due to its quick vegetative growth.
